Live-Blogging the Bangkok Riots: Sep 2, Tuesday
Early-morning short post, as there might be police action today… the general Thai populace is becoming tired and generally unsupportive of the PAD, many of whom drive up in their Mercedes-Benzes to join in the fray…
More updates later.
Update 1000, Sep 2: after the deaths last night (two reported, one was trying to ride a motorcycle INTO Mob-controlled space, and they beat him to death!) the police have closed about 80% of metropolitan Bangkok’s schools, to remove children from harm’s way.
In response, the now-smaller core of ‘pro-democracy’ law-breakers have bull-horned that ‘We are armed now, so if you come in it will be violent and messy!’
I’m currently chasing down reports/rumors that the mob is loose somewhere in Bangkok…
UPDATE: Wed Sep 3: Reports through the night of pro-Thailand groups fighting with the PAD ‘pro-democracy’ groups, and police standing clear, observing, (Remember, they’ve been ordered to stand duty WITHOUT their riot batons!)
30 ’state-enterprise labor unions’ (figure THAT out) have confirmed that they will STRIKE today, to deprive the general populace of services in THEIR attempt to force out the Samak government. This is the HEART and CRUX of the PAD’s Protest: Thai voters have a wretched, damnable habit of voting for people they WANT, like Taksin or, in his absence, the PPP (now in office)!
Mobus Sempre Vincit! . . . Mob Rule Forever!
Oh, and NO use of water cannons, or other creative, low-violence methods to end Mob rule!
